Studied the relationship between risk-taking behaviors in simulated conflict situations and the frequency of traffic accidents to replicate a study by E. Mittenecker and B. Veis (1954). Human subjects were 78 normal male and female West German adults (mean age 27 years) (university students.). Subjects' risk-taking behavior in a computer-simulated decision task were analyzed in relation to the number of traffic accidents in which they had been involved (either as guilty or not guilty parties) over the last 2 years.
