Risk-taking in the lives of parasuicides (attempted suicides).

The hypothesis was investigated that parasuicides are excessive risk-takers who overindulge in gambling and sustain traffic accidents with excessive frequency if they drive. After comparing a sample of parasuicides with a control sample it was shown that fewer parasuicides than controls had gambled and that drivers of both groups had accidents with similar frequency.
