This edition of the annual publication presents detailed statistics of road accidents in Great Britain and their resulting casualties. A calendar of events concerning road safety and traffic matters from 1903-1998 is presented (p. 122-124). Tables are provided showing statistics on vehicle population, accidents and accident rates classified (eg road class, type of vehicle, time of day and severity of the accident). A list of publications relating to road safety by the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) published during 1998 is included (p. 128-129). RAGB 1998 also includes two review articles: Bosworth,A - General review of personal injury road accidents in Great Britain in 1998, p. 7-19; and Masurel,P - Drinking and driving, p. 20-28.
