This edition of the annual publication (first published in 1951) presents detailed statistics of road accidents in Great Britain and their resulting casualties. A calendar of events concerning road safety and traffic matters from 1903-2000 is presented (pp 136-139). Tables are provided showing statistics on vehicle population, accidents and accident rates classified (e.g. by road class, type of vehicle, time of day and severity of accident).
