Samenvatting
This report introduces the topics presented and discussed at the congress session organised by the Committee C11 Road Bridges. The programme for the session has been organised so that, following an outline description of the work carried out on four separate topics (repair and strengthening of bridges, management of post-tensioned grouted duct bridges, innovative materials for construction and repair, and risk and reliability in bridge assessment) by the committee during the preceding four years, the main discussion will concentrate on future important topics in the area of bridge engineering and management. The session concluded with a general discussion on whole life costing for bridges. For the covering abstract see ITRD E118727.
