Samenvatting
An overview is presented of the design and initial devel- lopment of a computer data base to aid in the future planning for, and continuing management of the 44.000 km of national road network under the control of the department of Highways, Thailand. The manner in which the data base iden- tifies specific road segments is described and the items of road description information stored for each segment are listed.
