Vietnam is undertaking many upgrading and improvement projects in the transport sector. This is leading to a large demand on transfer of foreign technologies into the country. Having described a list of transport projects, the paper discusses the institutional framework and some applied imported technologies. This transfer is considered as an opportunity for foreign investment, too. (A)
