Samenvatting

Exposure is often defined as the opportunity to have an accident and is usually operationalised as distance or duration of travel to obtain a better understanding of how safely the road transport system is operating, who is using it, and to assist in the identification of safety problems, the regular collection of such exposure data is desirable. This paper describes two related methods for the collection of direct exposure data through the conduct of on road surveys.
