Samenvatting
This paper presents some improvements in the design of commercial vehicles in order to make them safer. Some recommendations are: driver's cabs must be stronger and quieter; visibility on the road must be improved; lorry engines must be more powerful; underrun bumpers must be more widely used; lorries must be equipped with anti-locking brake systems.
