Samenvatting

When a disaster occurs, the road administrator needs to collect the information of the state of the road damage promptly and take appropriate measures according to the collected information of damage and specification of structure, for secure and smooth traffic. However, since many drawings and specifications data needed at collection for damage information and measure planning are controlled independently, it has been difficult to make a quick response to an emergency. This paper reports measures to realize a higher level of disaster analysis and more effective management of works, by integrating and controlling the existing database (the road management database and the road disaster prevention inspection database) on the digital map, using the geographic information system (GIS); also to support prompt understanding of the extent of damage and adequate restoration measures, by collecting timely site information (multimedia information) with a portable terminal.
