Samenvatting
The study supports and extends prior research into the effects on driver behaviour of alcohol and road markings. There is a strong confirmation that standard 4-inch wide edgelines provide significant driver performance benefits, thereby confirming the results of controlled "before and after"accident studies. Wide edgelines are shown to extend the benefits of 4-inch edgelines for both the impaired and the unimpaired driver.
