Samenvatting
Current practice regarding edge-marking and choice of road marking materials is reviewed. The merits of ballotini and reflecting road studs are discussed. The possibility of further signalisation by means of additional colours or by patterned grouping of reflecting studs needs further exploration, especially if it is proved feasible to combine the ruggedness of the "cat's- eye" mounting with the optical efficiency of the corner cube reflector.
