Samenvatting

It is suggested that the implementation of road pricing in cities, especially those in Latin America and other lesser developed countries, deserves serious consideration Existing road user charges regimes alone do not encourage the travelling public to use urban road systems efficiently, they do not provide assistance to investment planners, nor do they generate revenues enough for highway expenditure needs.
