In 2008, 13.502 people were killed in traffic accidents on urban roads in the EU-19. This is 38% of all traffic accident fatalities in 2008. In the last decade, urban road fatalities have reduced by a quarter (25,7%), while the total number of fatalities has reduced by almost a third (31,5%). (Author/publisher)
