Samenvatting
This publication presents the results of individual road safety studies as well as comparative analysis, carried out by a team from the Danish Road Directorate in November-December 1997. The objectives of this study were to: (i) provide country-specific assessment of the nature, scope, trends, causes and consequences of road accidents in terms of comparable data; (ii) analyse country responses to the road safety problem; (iii) identify major constraints for road safety work and provision of adequate remedial measures; and (iv) identify significant regional positive practices and most relevant international road safety experiences.
