Samenvatting
The present arrangements for the management of road safety within the UK were established in 1974 primarily within the organisational structure of Local Authorities operating both on their own account and as local agents for the Department of Transport. A summary is provided of training and development opportunities available within the UK relevant to road safety management and an assessment made of the extent to which these are appropriate to the current and future requirements of the service.
