This document covers the procedures for management of road safety on the road infrastructure in Ireland on National Roads. It describes the roles and responsibilities of those engaged in the management of road safety and it outlines the procedures to be followed to address the requirements of the EU Directive 2008/96/EC on Road Infrastructure Safety Management (RISM) and its transposition into Irish Law under S.I.
