Samenvatting
This article briefly presents a web-based system to manage part-time 20 miles per hour speed limit signs outside schools in the Scottish Highlands. The new system programmes all the signs from a central location. All changes are passed by a mobile phone connection to a master controller at each school, which instantly updates timings for all signs around that school. The controllers are easy to install and can be fitted to existing signs.
