Samenvatting
After significant improvements in the last years it is likely that the European Road Statistics in 1986- the international road safety year-will demonstrate a fall in 1 our safety record. Therefore we have to look on comprehensive research-based assessments for the future. Given the enormity of the road safety task we need: reform in policy; reform in approaching the road safety problem; reform in practice; reform in research; and reform in teaching and education.
