The aim of the Road Safety Risk Factors Study is to monitor: (i) the prevalence of road-related risk behaviours, and (ii) attitudes to, and perceptions of, road safety issues. The survey is conducted quarterly. It comprises a set of core questions which are asked each quarter, and supplementary questions which change each quarter. The core questions are related to drinking and driving, speeding, seat belt use, fatigue, bicycle helmet wearing, traffic violations and pedestrian activity. In the second survey, the supplementary questions were related to the Western Australian bicycle helmet legislation. This report presents the results of the second survey. (A) For the first and third survey, see C 10608 and C 10610. For the fourth survey see ST 981544.
