Samenvatting
Geographical location of the Czech Republic in Central Europe makes the country a very important intersection within European transport network, both in the direction East - West and from Northern to Southern Europe. Thus, road safety in the Czech Republic is of extraordinary importance not only for Czech inhabitants but also in wider European context for other European countries. The objective of this publication with overview of road traffic accidents in the Czech Republic in 2005 is to provide experts as well as public with development and current situation in this area within national context and also with a comparison with foreign countries, especially with advanced OECD countries.
