Road traffic accidents involving fog : a review of literature on rear fog lights.

Review of literature on rear fog lights is made. They are reported as effective in increasing sight distance during day fog, or heavy fog but not at night, dusk or in light fog. The introduction of mandatory fitting of rear fog lights would have little potential for benefit in relation to their cost.
