Samenvatting
The conditions of road haulage in Europe are briefly examined. A typical range of light and meduim trucks are then described as an illustration of the characteristics required. Future developments are considered with respect to foreseeable regulations for vehicles weights and dimensions, power-to-weight ratios, safety, and pollution requirements.
