Samenvatting
As considerable sums of money are likely to be spent on road-tunnels in South Africa in the next few years and as little experience on long road tunnels has been gained locally, a literature survey on the subject has been conducted. Various aspects involved in the design and operations of tunnels have been gathered from the available literature and are presented.
