In addition to interviews, we have attended traffic cases heard at Oxford Magistrates' Court. Contact has been maintained with other researchers in the field and relevant literature and statistics have been reviewed.Liaison has been established and maintained with senior police officers outside the Thames Valley force, particularly those who have a special interest in traffic. Underlying this somewhat diverse bank of information is a unifying plan.
