Samenvatting
Theoretical considerations and reviews of current research on road user behaviour and accidents are presented. The book contains chapters on the analysis of accidents and conflict behaviour, risk perception and decision making, and the influence of alcohol, prescription and recreation drugs on behaviour and accident involvement. The second half of the volume concentrates on influencing road user behaviour through public information and educational programmes, driver training and driver improvement programmes. The book is compiled on the occasion of the second international conference on road safety held in groningen in september 1987.
