Roadpricing: a tool full of chauces or chauceless ? : conclusions and insights as a result of the case study A15 Vaanplein - Maasvlakte. Financing huge investments in highway -infrastructure forces to seek for new means in terms of roadpricing and public-private partnership. This study focusses on the potentials of road-tolling in the A15-corridor, south of Rotterdam. With the aid of the traffic and transportmodel for the Rotterdam region the use of a free-flow corridor during peek-hours is estimated at different price levels and different levels of congestion. The results lead to the conclusion that road-tolling is far more interesting as an instrument in managing traffic flows than as an instrument for financing-purposes only. It can be a powerful tool in managing the levels of service in accordance with preset policy-goals. (Author/publisher)
