Roads in developing regions. Report from Norway.

This report examines two topics: (1) methods of monitoring laws of pavement performance. The Roads Department Botswana, has systematically collected information from low traffic roads with regard to their performance since 1981. (2) Evaluation of non- traditional materials and technologies in road construction: investigations and quality control. The soils in many developing regions of the world are widely different from the soils encountered in developed regions and knowledge of soil properties vary accordingly.
