Samenvatting
The system of public roads classification, developed in Poland in 1985, has been presented. The roads are classified into four categories regarding their significance, function and administrative assignment. The following four road categories have been introduced; (1) national roads, (2) Voivodship (provincial) roads, (3) country and local urban roads, (4) industrial roads (inside industrial plants).
