Samenvatting

This paper describes a programme of breath testing surveys carried out to determine the extent of change in the prevalence of nighttime driving after drinking during a police campaign against drinking and driving. The police enforcement campaign was carried out between June and November 1995 in British Columbia, Canada. The results show a substantial reduction in drink driving behaviour with 45% less drivers with blood alcohol contents in excess of 0.8mg.
