Samenvatting
The principal objective of this study is to review the role of competitive tendering in the co-ordination of public transport services in two middle-income countries: Chile and South Africa. It proposes to analyse each country's regulatory structure and identify some of the implications (e.g., benefits and constraints) that the tendering process has for facilitating seamless travel within urban areas.
