Samenvatting

Findings of different experiments conducted to investigate 1) the role of extra-foveal and foveal vision in the visual acquisition process, and 2) the effect of driver's visual information acquisition behaviour on his driving performance are presented. All the data obtained in the experiments are collected under actual highway driving situations by using an eye-marker camera system. Results are presented and discussed.
