Samenvatting
Collision related injuries associated with the side ofpassenger vehicles are a major part of the price of motorvehicle accidents. Three methode for evaluating the crashrelated safety characteristics of the aides of motor ve-hicles are examined. An outline of the steps in the de-velopment of each method ia presented and the status ofthe development is discuseed.
