Samenvatting
The study tries to explain the red light negation by car drivers. Observed behaviour stopping or not stopping, is combined with data from interviews with the same drivers. A social psychological model is used, which has shown effective earlier in tax-offences. The best forecasting factors are the attitudes against red light negation, the estimated chance of causing danger when not stopping for the red light, and the great importance attacked to the conservation of time and benefit.
