Samenvatting
A description of a research project on spatial abstraction in transportation planning is given. It deals with the planning activity of designing models of the spatial dimension of a planning situation, and with the assessment of the consequence of usage of these model representations on the transportation planning process. An outline is given of the theoretical framework chosen for this research problem. Problem analysis is followed by detailed representation of problem statements to be tackled.
