Samenvatting
A preliminary study into the location effects of road pricing in the Netherlands has been carried out. Based on directly available information on commuting it can be observed that the majority of the commuting trips is inevitable due to quantitative and qualitative asymmetry; that is to say neither the quality nor the number of living and working places are well matched. The possible impacts of the proposed system of road pricing in the Netherlands in terms of additional migration due to increasing generalised costs have been calculated with a relocation model.
