Samenvatting
This paper contains an overview of foreseeable spatial consequences of the introduction and use of telecommunication. Various studies in this field will be critically reviewed, while particular attention will be paid to the creation, the diffusion and adoption, and the spatial (locational) impacts of this new technology. It will be concluded that the spatial repercussions of telecommunication will in general be fairly modest.
