This CD-ROM contains resources to support implementation of the Work Zone Safety and Mobility Rule (Rule). This CD contains all four of the Rule implementation guides; other Rule-related resources such as checklists, templates, and a set of frequently asked questions (FAQs); and information on the Work Zone Peer-to-Peer Program and other resources. Almost all of the materials on the CD have been previously distributed in hardcopy and available electronically on the website at http://www.ops.fhwa.dot.gov/wz/resources/final_rule.htm. This CD pulls all these materials together in one small package and provides some of the materials in a more easily usable format. For example, the CD extracts the public information (PT) and outreach templates from the existing guide on that topic, and provides them in Microsoft Word format so that agencies can type directly iilto the templates as they develop P1 strategies for transportation management plans (TMIPs) for work zones. The resources on this CD will continue to aid agencies as they fully implement the Rule in the coming years. The CD is self-contained as much as possible - meaning the full text of the materials is on the CD. However some resources that change frequently or are provided by other agencies on their websites have been included as Internet links and require an active Internet connection to use.
