The analysis of the rythms and modalities of transport in Casablanca ((Morocco) draws back to the history of the road layout which was planned at the time the land was plotted and to the way the available space was allotted. Traffic situation has become extremely difficult. Since 1969, there has been a continuing search for solutions to these problems. This paper discusses the construction of the Tunis (Tunisia) light rail system in 1985, and looks at the results this system has helped achieve.
