Samenvatting

Specific personality traits were measured which could logically be considered related to the general notion of aggression in drivers behaviour. The findings support the belief that some drivers use the motor car as an instrument for the expression of aggression. Sado-aggressive and maso-submissive traits reinforce the many opportunities available on the road to inflict pain and discomfort on others.
