The role of Tube Lines in restoring underground railway services following the London, UK, bombings on July 7th 2005 is described. Tube Lines Emergency Response Unit and provider of engineering services and equipment Trans Plant worked at the three bomb sites in cooperation with the police and London Underground. In the event of any incident, an incident control procedure called a Na100 is implemented by London Underground to establish a chain of command to control the situation and restore services. Tube Lines established their own incident management team. The priority of Tube Lines was to get the right teams in place to provide 24 hour coverage with all the relevant skill sets in each team. The Piccadilly Line was restored to full service on 4th August, only one week after the site was released by the anti-terrorist squad to Tube Lines. Within this time, the remaining carriages of the train were removed and a hazard assessment conducted. The site was cleaned and visual inspections of the tunnel made. Damaged equipment and signalling assets were replaced or repaired and tests of the line conducted.
