The work deals with the inner safety of cars and how to prevent injuries in traffic accidents. Based on 430000 car insurances during the period 1976-1978, a swedish insurance company made an inventory of how safe, or dangerous, different makes of car are. The information comprises: (a) risk of personal injury in an accident; (b) severity; (c) risk of fatality or disability; (d) part of the body especially exposed to injury.
