The Safe Street Crossing Program is an educational tool for teaching elementary school children in kindergarten through third grade, how to safely cross the street. This report presents the results of conducting this program in Dade County and Hillsborough County, Florida. The program in Florida resulted in significant reductions of child pedestrian accidents of between 22 and 51 percent.
