Among the specific issues cited are the distribution and characteristics of crashes at different work zone locations in Virginia, an evaluation of snow removal service in four Japanese cities and residents' willingness to pay, and a benefit-cost analysis case study on soil bioengineering as an alternative for roadside management. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 81th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2002. For abstracts of the individual papers see C 28257 - C 28268.
