Samenvatting
The advantages and disadvantages of various types of passive restraint systems (2- or 3- point types, automatic versus manual) from the point of view of the occupant protection performance, system configuration and cost /benefit standpoint. The author is of the opinion that a simple, nonmotorized 3- point passive restraint system is the most adequate.
