The report presents details of injuries and fatalities to children suffered as passengers in cars in the united kingdom. It also describes types of child restraint systems that are available and the ages for which they are most suitable. Details are given about the numbers of children protected by some form of restraint system at present in use. The report discusses the extent to which these restraint systems are effective in the prevention, or the reduction, of the severity of injuries to children.
