It includes descriptions of many systems; for example, with the antilock braking system (ABS) by Bosch, vehicles remain steerable and directionally stable, even when full force is applied to the brakes. The traction control system (TCS) supports the driver by preventing the drive wheels from spinning during startup and acceleration, thus increasing driving stability. The electronic stability program (ESP) ensures stability and keeps the vehicle in its lane in critical driving situations by applying rapid intervention in the engine and braking systems.
