This is the second edition of the Land Transport Safety Authority's (LTSA) publication `Safety Directions'. It has been produced as a companion document to the first edition which was published in November 1994. This report has three aims: 1) to provide key facts about road safety in New Zealand; 2) to provide a `toolbox' of concepts and terms relating to road safety; and 3) to provide a method for allocating the road safety dollar so that it has the greatest possible impact.
