This conference contains papers covering the following topics: (a) accident research and trends in development likely to reduce either accident rates or the severity of injuries; (b) motorcycle helmet design; (c) motorcycle brake design; (d) motorcyclist behaviour in traffic, with special reference to risk taking; (e) motorcycle design, with special reference to safety, manoeuvrability, and ergonomics; and (f) motorcycle noise, air pollution and fuel consumption.
