The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cross-border safety impact of extended drinking hours in Ontario. This study used a quasi-experimental comparison time series design. The analysed datasets are monthly casualties for Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan and impaired driving and assault charges for Windsor and London, Ontario pre-post policy change. The findings suggest decreased casualties in Detroit but increased casualties and charges in Windsor post policy change.
